John Finger has written about the Phillies for CSNPhilly.com since 2000. He also vividly remembers every Philadelphia baseball playoffs since 1976 and every 76ers' training camp at Franklin & Marshall College since 1980. Though he has written a lot about baseball, his true passion is basketball. He is a member of the Pro Basketball Writers Association and he is fascinated by the NBA and anything else that requires endurance and/or a sense of humor. He also enjoys marathon running, punk rock, books and movies as well as debunking myths and goofing off. Often, he has trouble paying attention to things that are not funny.
John attended J.P. McCaskey High School in Lancaster, Pa., and a very large university in Philadelphia. He lives in Lancaster and dotes on his wife Ellen and their two sons, Michael and Theodore.
